Cycle Safaris Website launched!
Hello everyone, Cycle Bob is pleased to announce that the brand new Cycle Safaris website has just been launched - go to www.cyclesafaris.co.uk and see what you think. We plan to expand the site over time, for now its a great intro to our mission in Purbeck - to bring unforgettable cycling experiences to as many people as possible. Make sure you bookmark the site - it will be well worth returning to over the next few months as we crank out some brilliant cycling holiday ideas!
Bank Holiday Biking
I thought that I would take a picture of the bikes outside of our log cabin in Swanage, before they got dirty. The weather over the Bank Holiday was a bit mixed, with Saturday being a little rainy, so I was expecting the bikes to get a little dirty, and this they did. But it was great to see the bikes being used, with several people heading off over the hills (including me) others staying at lower levels to enjoy the local forest and country trails.
Herston, Swanage is perfect for all levels of cycling, I took one family over Ballard Down, They had driven past it many times but never climbed to the top, We took it easy going up, pushing the bikes from the road, 10 minutes later we were at the top, Then the thrill of the 7K down hill run to Studland, Stunning views, easy riding, with the Banks Arms pub at the end, it is a perfect ride for any one.
I hope that more people will join me in these fun for all rides.

Start at Poole Quay, cycle around Upton Country Park, boarded train at Hamworthy Junction, Got off the train at Wareham, cycle to Wareham Quay, sat on the river bank and had some lunch, off then across the causeway through Stoborough and out to Arne, cycled through the grazing deer and onto Corfe, boarded the steam train and traveled into Swanage, Cycled along the sea front up the hill to Studland. Had a pint in the banks arms, Then down the Hill along the toll road to the Sandbanks chain ferry, Cycled through Sandbanks and Lilliput using the cycle lanes then along the water front at Baiter and back to Poole Quay.

We took our new bikes out for a test ride in the Purbeck hills on a fine, sunny Sunday last week. From Herston on the Steam Train to Corfe, then up through Norden and past the Blue Pool, over the hill and back down into Herston Campsite. We all had a great time and are rearing to go for the next one...
